Dinosaur Pop Up Card Tutorial

Dinosaur Pop Up Card Tutorial

I've always loved dinosaurs ever since I was a child.  They are gigantic creatures that let your imagination run wild.  It's hard to believe that they once roamed the earth.  For father's day this year, I decided to make  a dinosaur pop up card that has a daddy and baby Tyrannosaurus (T-rex).  Originally, I was going to make one with a Triceratops, but I didn't have enough room to fit one in.   This card is also great to make as a birthday card for that kid or adult, who loves dinosaurs.  So here's what the card looks like:

I wasn't sure what a baby T-rex looked like so I had to look it up.  I made the dinosaurs brown, but I've also seen them in green.  So you could make the dinosaurs green and the background brown.  The design is simple, but it took me a few tries to get the jaw of the daddy T-rex to come out right.  I wanted to design the card so you wouldn't need glue, but the tabs became so fragile, that I decided that a little glue was ok.

Here is a view of the card from the top.

Here's what the card looks like in action:

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.  For all those father's out there, Happy Father's Day!

I made a dinosaur card for my brother with my cricut machine and background.
I wrote, ” I’m not saying you’re old, but I bet this card brings back lots of
    memories” lol
