Hi Everyone! As you all may have noticed, I have a new website. Besides the new look and feel, the big difference is that my templates are no longer free :(. I know many of you will be upset and I would be too.
I thought about this for a long time and I realized that I can't manage my day job, my website and spend time with my new baby all at the same time. I've been so busy I haven't even started a new card for Valentine's day! So I had a choice, I have to spend less time on one of these things. I can't spend less time on my family but my day job pays my bills. Either I give up my website or I had to start paying my bills with my website. This is an unfortunate choice because I love sharing my designs with everyone. This will allow me to continue making my cards and sharing my designs. I will still post free designs, but for some reason I can't get it to work right now. I know that there will be a backlash and I'm expecting a lot of hate mail. I just hope that those of you who enjoy my designs will still come back and visit.
I want to thank all of you for your support because without you, I would not have been so inspired to make these cards.

When good resources are reasonably priced it seems churlish to expect them for free. my website resources are free but I’ve put a permanent donate button there, it’s a move many websites are going for as people realise they don’t need to accept shoddy work and artists and designers subsequently need to pour more time and effort into the work they share. However making money off a website can be an uphill battle as people will always look for what they can find for free first, I wish you much luck.

Luckly for me, yesterday I printed out all the templares I wanted, but 2day I weny bck 2 your site 2 c if I seen anything I may have missed & they weren’t free anymore. I was very sad. Once I started reading up on the tax implications of running “it” as a business I decided it was more trouble than it was worth. (Collecting and remitting sales tax, figuring and paying self-employment tax, getting a business license, etc, etc.).

That have become disabled, and SSDI, is not something you’ll ever get rich on, and medications are far more important and costly, then card templates. So I doubt that I’ll be spending any money here. Your designs are wonderful.
But, here’s a thought–take one of your older, more popular designs, make it free, for 1 day only, a month. A different day each time, so that nobody would expect just to click, on that day every month; they’d have to read the emails, to know what design and what day to click. This would also help you to know how many, actually reads your emails. Have a blessed life, with that new baby.

Posted at 16:14h, 04 FebruaryI dont mind spending money but i wld like the cards made for me. i was going to buy 4 cards until i realized they are just the templates. i love your cards and such but i dont see me spending money and time to make a card. i dont have the patience right now to sit and make cards. I love my girl but i think i will just buy those cheap hallmark cards unless you say yes i will make one for you. let me know your price. i hope not too expensive though. i need an answer soon. valentines day is around.

Posted at 07:58h, 07 FebruaryPerhaps also allow people submit their own templates, if they haven’t already. If you seen other DIY websites, people can submit their tutorials/templates and whatnot. In a sense, you can also provide free templates from the users who would like to donate.

Posted at 17:23h, 19 FebruaryI’m really sad about the change, too. Well, I understand why you changed it, great work has to be paid, but not everyone is now possible to access the templates. For the UK or USA 5$ aren’t much, but in the Ukraine (where I’m from) it’s more than you think. And plus there is almost no e-money in Ukraine, so impossible to buy the templates. At least there is one template I downloaded before, the Lovebirds. They’re great, thank you!

I struggled with what cutting machine to get for quite awhile, and wasn’t sure about my Silhouette. But I’m relieved to see that another pop-up card maker has bought it. 🙂
